Kim Kardashian reveals the sport she doesn't want her sons to play

Kim Kardashian has been around a lot of athletes, but there's one sport she'd like to avoid. As her four kids grow up, they're starting to find interests in different activities, but she quickly realized she'd rather her sons put down the baseball bats and gloves.

The Kardashians star shares North, 13, and Chicago, 8, and sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, 7, with North West. She revealed in an interview with PEOPLE that her boys went through a phase where they were very interested in sports. 

“My boys wanted to play baseball, but it was at a phase where they wanted to try everything and every single sport,” she recalled.

When it was time for baseball, it was an awakening of how much of a time commitment it was. “I remember pulling up to the baseball field and like three hours in I’m like, ‘Alright, I think that other sport was way better for you," Kim said. 

The billionaire went on to give credit to the parents who spend their lives on baseball fields. “So like, so much respect to baseball parents,” she said. “Like, if you know, you know. It’s long hours.”

Saint has since been very invested in soccer. He's traveled globally to matches and got to meet some of the biggest stars, even walking out Lionel Messi in 2024. 

While Saint and Psalm explore sports, her eldest, North, has been following in her dad's footsteps as a rapper.

The interview was with Kardashian's fellow executive producer Natalie Ento about their new reality series, Team Moms: Baseball.

 The idea for the show actually came from Kardashian and Ento's own experiences as sports moms and friends. 

The pair have taken their kids on sports adventures together over the years, including a soccer tournament in Spain.

“Three years ago, we were in Spain; we were at a soccer tournament,” Kardashian explained. “Natalie’s a coach, so she was coming back,  venting about stories and crazy situations and intense parents, passionate parents. And we kind of joked and said, ‘This would be such a riveting reality show. It would be insane.’”

They eventually took that idea to networks, and Kardashian says, “Everyone jumped on it.”

The duo initially debated whether the show should focus on soccer or basketball, but they ultimately landed on baseball. Considering Kardashian's history with reality TV, she's the perfect person to be behind the project.
