Kim Kardashian is opening up about her journey to becoming a lawyer. The media personality is promoting the second season of "All's Fair," the TV show that stars her as a divorce lawyer with a complicated personal and professional life. She's revealed that her dreams of becoming a lawyer are still intact.
Kardashian has addressed her experience with the Bar over the past couple of years, revealing that she's failed the exam. In an interview with PEOPLE, she revealed that becoming a lawyer is still something she wants to pursue.
“I am always thinking about the bar,” she said. "But I'm gonna take my time until the moment is right. Whenever I have some free time to focus on it," Kim added with a laugh.
Her co-star, Sarah Paulson, supported her. "She's gonna be a great lawyer," she said.
Last November, Kardashian revealed that she'd failed the bar exam via her Instagram stories. “I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivated me even more,” she wrote. "Let’s go!”
The moment was challenging for her and one she wanted to address with the world before the news reached the internet. "Instantly I was like, OK, let's do this, I know what I've got to do. This really sucks because I put so much time into it, but I know what I can do better," she told TIME. "I'm pretty good at taking a failure and turning it into something and I just don't have the time to dwell."
Kardashian's personal journey with law
In past years, Kardashian has been open with the world about her desire to pursue law and follow in her father's footsteps. The late Robert Kardashian was also a lawyer, notably serving as OJ Simpson's lawyer during his notorious 1995 double-murder trial.
In 2021, she revealed that she passed the baby bar after four attempts, sharing that her dad would have been "so proud" of her achievement. At the time, she said that she'd like to focus on law at some point in the future.
The second season of "All's Fair" premieres on Hulu on Nov. 4th, continuing the stories of an all-female divorce law firm made up of Allura Grant (Kardashian), Liberty Ronson (Naomi Watts), and Emerald Greene (Niecy Nash-Betts). The new season follows shifting loyalties between the women, new romances, and the ongoing rivalry with Carrington Lane (Paulson).
New cast members include Nyle DiMarco, Housewives alum Dorinda Medley, Margo Martindale, and Denise Richards.
