Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are officially husband and wife, but their wedding celebrations are far from over. Just days after saying “I do” in an intimate ceremony in Portugal, the couple revealed that they are already planning a second, much bigger wedding surrounded by family and friends.

The soccer star, 41, and the model, 32, opened up to Vogue about their at-home nuptials, revealing that they hope to have a “big wedding” in the future so they can celebrate their marriage with family and friends.

After choosing a private ceremony for their first “I do,” Cristiano and Georgina are planning a larger celebration for the future.

Cristiano and Georgina tied the knot on August 11, 2026, in Cascais, Portugal, during a ceremony described as “private and intimate.” Rather than choosing a palace, luxury hotel or exotic destination, the longtime couple decided to mark one of the biggest moments of their relationship inside their own family home.

A wedding at the heart of their home:

Rodríguez told Vogue that they chose to get married “in the living room of our house here... where we have breakfast, lunch and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives.”

The deeply personal setting was also chosen with their children and the memories they would carry from the day in mind.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are already looking ahead to another wedding celebration after officially tying the knot in Portugal.

“In 30 years’ time, I want the children to think, ‘Something wonderful happened at this table — the wedding vows of our parents,’ ” Rodríguez told the magazine.

Their five children were there for the special occasion. Cristiano Jr., 16; twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 9; Alana, 8; and Bella, 4. The ceremony also commemorated the 10th anniversary of when Cristiano and Georgina met and fell in love after crossing paths at a Gucci store.

Cristiano and Georgina’s private ceremony marked a new chapter in their nearly decade-long love story.

For Georgina, the understated celebration was dramatically different from the wedding she once imagined having.

“When I was a little girl,” she recalled, “I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I’m saying, ‘No. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home.’ Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate — that’s more unusual for us.”

Georgina Rodríguez revealed that her idea of the perfect wedding changed dramatically from what she dreamed of as a little girl.

Following the ceremony, Rodríguez said the day “was exactly as I’d imagined it.” “Intimate, full of love, and with our family in the most important starring role,” she shared, adding, “I couldn’t hold back the tears.”

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are planning another celebration:

While their first wedding reflected the most private side of their relationship, Cristiano and Georgina still want the opportunity to celebrate their marriage on a much larger scale.

The newlyweds told Vogue that they plan to have a “big wedding” in the future, allowing more of their family and friends to join them for the celebration. For now, however, they have not publicly announced a date or location for the second event.

Their busy schedule was one reason there was little time to celebrate immediately after making their marriage official. The couple even skipped a traditional honeymoon, traveling to Riyadh the day after the ceremony for the start of Cristiano’s season with Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.

Cristiano still managed to put a romantic spin on the situation, telling Vogue, “Every day is a honeymoon” with Rodríguez.

The longtime couple said “I do” during an intimate ceremony at their family home in Cascais, Portugal.

After nearly a decade together, the pair agreed that becoming legally married is unlikely to dramatically change the relationship and family life they have already built. Still, Cristiano admitted that officially becoming husband and wife brings something new to their longtime romance.

“Just the fact of being man and wife—you enter a different league,” he said. Now, after choosing the intimacy of their own home to make their union official, Cristiano and Georgina have another celebration ahead.

While the details remain under wraps, their future “big wedding” will give the couple a chance to celebrate their new chapter with the wider circle of family and friends who were not part of their intimate ceremony.
