Newlywed life, it turns out, looks a lot like the life Georgina Rodríguez and Cristiano Ronaldo already had — just with rings on their fingers now.
The couple, who've been together for a decade, exchanged wedding vows on August 11 in an intimate ceremony at their new residence in Cascais, Portugal, with only their five children and four witnesses in attendance. The date was no accident: it marked exactly one year since Ronaldo's proposal on the same day in 2025, when Rodríguez announced their engagement with the words: "Yes, I do. In this life and all my others."
Now, with their first week of marriage behind them, the two have picked right back up with the routines of their everyday life in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo continues to play for Al-Nassr F.C.
A Glimpse Behind Closed Doors
Rodríguez, ever willing to let her followers in, posted a video from their striking Riyadh home showing just how little has actually shifted since the wedding. The footage captures Ronaldo doing what he does most mornings: swimming laps in the pool, cooling off, and training before the day has properly begun. The ritual has become a pattern for Ronaldo, who beats Riyadh's brutal heat this way.
"This is how my husband wakes me up," Rodríguez captioned the clip, which amassed hundreds of thousands of likes within minutes.
Like Father, Like Son
A second video Rodríguez shared turned the spotlight on their nine-year-old son, Mateo. In the clip, her son is seen working out on an adjustable pulley machine while his mother coached him through the set, pushing him to get the most out of each rep.
Athletic like his father, Mateo has clearly inherited more than just his looks, a resemblance Rodríguez leaned into with her caption: "The little bug," a nod to Ronaldo's own nickname, "El Bicho."
More details about the much-anticipated wedding
Earlier this month, a few details on the couple's wedding were released, including their wedding bands. While Rodriguez's enormous engagement ring has been the source of much discussion, it seems like the couple took a different approach for their wedding bands, opting for an understated design.
According to Laura Taylor, a jeweler specializing in engagement and wedding rings at Lorel Diamonds, the design choice is significant.
“Despite Georgina wearing one of the most incredible engagement rings we've seen in recent years, if not ever, the pair have actually chosen very simple wedding bands that symbolise the commitment itself rather than trying to impress with size or value," she said.
The rings are simple, made out of polished yellow gold.
