Jenna Ortega is in the spotlight. The 23-year-old actress reappeared in a new interview, prompting speculation about her health after users commented on her weight.
Ortega's sister Aliyah, commented on a post that stood up for Ortega, asking people to leave her alone. "I think everyone should mind their own business and leave Jenna Ortega alone, especially after her recent interview has created so many questions and assumptions about her health," reads the lengthy post, which was accompanied by various photos of Ortega.
"She doesn’t owe anyone an explanation; her life is her life, and her body belongs to her," it continues. Aliyah dropped three exclamation points on the post, appearing to endorse the message.
Jenna Ortega is one of six kids, including Isaac, Mariah, Mia, Aliyah, and Markus. Aliyah is a year younger than Jenna and often shares photos and updates on her social media.
Ortega's road to fame
Jenna Ortega has been acting since she was a child. Still, the fame that came following her performance in the hit Netflix series "Wednesday" was something she could never have predicted.
“That was a big learning lesson for me, because I started so young and it wasn’t easy coming up,” she said to Esquire. “I was told many mixed things, and then suddenly I was catapulted into this weird liminal space that, hey, well, maybe things are a bit different for me now.”
She also teased what fans can expect for the third season of "Wednesday," which has no release date yet and is expected in late 2027.
“This season, especially because the kids are seniors in high school now, we’re dealing with more confrontational feelings regarding family and what it means to be an adult and what you see for your life,” she said. “It’s not really until you get to the precipice of adulthood that you start to realize, Oh, God, well, maybe I’ve got to have a plan.”
Ortega is preparing for another big year, starring in "Klara and the Sun," "The Great Beyond," and the new season of "Wednesday."
