Jenna Ortega is officially back in “Wednesday” mode, and her latest fashion moment proves the actress has no plans to step away from the gothic aesthetic that helped redefine her red carpet identity. Attending Netflix’s “Wednesday” FYSEE Emmy event on May 22, Ortega arrived in a striking avant-garde look that instantly turned heads.

The actress, who is returning for another season of the hit Netflix series “Wednesday,” gave us a fresh take on gothic tailoring by transforming a Victorian-inspired corset into an unexpected neckpiece.

The look came straight from Alexander McQueen’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection and leaned heavily into dark romanticism with a modern edge. Styled by longtime collaborator Enrique Melendez, Ortega wore a sharply tailored gray suit featuring structured shoulders, a plunging neckline, and perfectly fitted trousers. But the standout detail was impossible to miss.

Wrapped tightly around her neck was a dramatic white lace-up collar designed to resemble a corset. The structured piece extended outward across her chest before opening into a deconstructed silhouette, giving the entire outfit a haunting couture feel. Loose strings draped below the cropped jacket hem, adding movement.

The styling perfectly tapped into the gothic luxury trend currently dominating celebrity fashion, while still feeling unmistakably Jenna Ortega. Since becoming the face of Wednesday Addams for a new generation, Ortega has embraced dark glamour as her signature style lane. From sheer black gowns to dramatic lace and Victorian-inspired tailoring, her press tour looks consistently blur the line between horror-inspired fashion and high couture.

Rather than leaning into predictable gothic staples, Ortega and Melendez elevated the aesthetic with unconventional accessories that felt editorial. The corset collar, in particular, gave a modern twist to Victorian fashion references that have become increasingly popular on runways in recent seasons.

Beauty-wise, Ortega kept the mood soft but dramatic. She paired the structured look with long, layered dark hair, a smoky eye, a dusty rose lip, and warm bronzed skin.

One of the biggest changes from her recent appearances, however, was the return of her natural brunette brows.
