Oprah Winfrey has revealed the meaningful gift Beyoncé sent her after receiving a fan letter she wrote to the singer praising the singer’s Renaissance World Tour.
The beloved talkshow host said she was so moved by the concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in July 2023 that she felt compelled to write Beyoncé a personal note. In return, the superstar surprised her with a memorable keepsake from the tour.
© Kevin MazurThe 72-year-old recalled the exchange during an appearance on the web show Are You Okay?, explaining that she was completely captivated by the performance. "I went to the Beyoncé Renaissance concert. I was so blown away."
She continued and revealed, "I wrote her a fan letter. She obviously liked the fan letter because she then sent me one of the hats from Renaissance. Beyoncé sent me a hat!”

Oprah’s excitement after the MetLife Stadium concert was also clear in an Instagram post she shared shortly after the event.
The legendary talk show host uploaded a video of herself dancing alongside her longtime friend Gayle King, 71, and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, 72, as Beyoncé performed “Break My Soul.”

Adding, “The dancers, the production, the musicians, and the team in front of and behind the scenes all perfectly aligned to create a renaissance in today’s world. You must see it.”
Oprah’s other recent revelation
In another recent interview, Oprah also shared that her birth name is Orpah, not Oprah, explaining that the spelling changed when she was a child because “nobody knew how to spell it.”
Speaking on the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast, she explained: “It was Orpah from the Bible … Ruth, first chapter, 14th verse. It is that whole Ruth and Naomi story. And you know, Ruth said, ‘Wherever thy goest, I will go.’ And then Orpah said: ‘I am going back. I am sorry. I cannot. Too long. The road is too long’…”

So, it turned out on my birth certificate, it is Orpah. And then people started calling me Oprah. It is just the difference between the P being before the R or after the R. Once they started with Oprah, that was it.”
She then pointed out that Keke Palmer, 32, was born Lauren Keyana Palmer, adding, “I am so happy that you knew that!”
