Ricky Martin ends his European tour — and teases big return to Puerto Rico

Ricky Martin is embarking on a new stage. The Puerto Rican icon just concluded the "Ricky Martin Live" tour that took him through Asia and Europe. Following a closing performance in Spain, Martin is announcing his next steps, which include new music and more performances, including a return trip to his hometown of Puerto Rico.

"Europe has gifted me unforgettable moments. Each concert has been a celebration with the public that has filled my heart with gratitude," he said, as reported by El Nuevo Dia.

"Now I start a new era that will take us to America, and that will allow me to return to my dear Puerto Rico, the place where I always find the energy to dream again. There's no stage like the one on my island."

Martin's tour has been an incredible international achievement, taking him to Turkey, Croatia, Serbia, Germany, Poland, and more, putting him in touch with fans of all nationalities and cultures.

In the meantime, Martin will continue his tour in America, with performances in the US, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, and more.

Over the past year, Martin has been traveling the world for different concerts, sometimes taking his kids with him: Matteo, Valentino, Renn, and Lucia. He's shared many updates on social media, showing them enjoying some of the world's most gorgeous destinations. 

Earlier this year, Martin shared a post that excited his fans and promised a new record. "This photo was taken while we were filming the video of a song that will be part of a project where I’m bringing new life to some of my classic songs — honoring where we’ve been. That will be out soon," he wrote. 

"At the same time, I’m deep into a completely new album. New stories. New sounds. New fire. The past is being celebrated. The future is being built."

"Can’t wait for you to hear what we are cooking."

While Martin has never stopped touring, performing, and being a part of pop culture, he hasn't released new music in over a decade. His new album would mark his first since 2015, when he released the record "A Quien Quiera Escuchar," which ultimately won the Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album.
