The 28-year-old performer, who worked with Latin music superstars Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro, had been reported missing after he was last seen on Sunday, July 12, in southwest Miami. His disappearance prompted an urgent public search involving family members, friends, fellow dancers, and fans across social media.
According to NBC 6 South Florida, authorities later confirmed his death, stating that the preliminary investigation indicates an apparent suicide. The investigation remains ongoing.
What happened to dancer Mykee?
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office, Mykee was last seen leaving the 14200 block of Southwest 161st Court in southwest Miami on Sunday afternoon. Officials issued a missing person alert, describing him as an endangered adult and asking the public to exercise caution if they encountered him.
As concern spread, social media was flooded with missing person flyers shared by family, friends, and members of the Latin music community. Among those amplifying the search was Rauw Alejandro, who reposted the official flyer on his Instagram Stories in hopes of helping locate his longtime collaborator.
