Rauw Alejandro could be experiencing one of the happiest and most unexpected chapters of his life. The 33-year-old Puerto Rican singer has reportedly become a father for the first time, according to journalist Álex Rodríguez, who shared the surprising claim on Univision’s ¡Siéntese quien pueda!.
The report immediately put the spotlight back on Rauw’s personal life, which he has kept remarkably private since ending his highly publicized relationship and engagement with Spanish singer Rosalía in 2023.

According to Rodríguez, Rauw reportedly welcomed his first child just days ago with a young Puerto Rican woman he has allegedly been dating for approximately two years. The journalist said the couple currently lives in New York, where Rauw’s reported partner is continuing her studies. Despite the singer’s international fame, they have apparently managed to keep their romance almost entirely outside the public eye.
“Shortly after that relationship with Rosalía, Rauw Alejandro met a young student whom he now lives with in New York,” Rodríguez said on ¡Siéntese quien pueda! “She accompanies him practically everywhere. They have been in a serious relationship for two years and, truthfully, they are a very sweet, very discreet couple,” he added.
That discretion apparently extended to one very major development. According to Rodríguez, the couple managed to keep the reported pregnancy secret throughout the months leading up to the baby's arrival. “They kept the pregnancy extremely private,” the journalist claimed.
He also described Rauw as “happy” and completely taken with his new role, adding, “He’s absolutely smitten with the baby.”

The possibility of becoming a father is something Rauw has discussed before. While he was still with Rosalía, the singer openly talked about imagining children in his future. “I want a couple of kids, however many God gives me,” he said during an appearance on Alofoke. “Well, I’m not the one who’s going to give birth to them. You have to understand that my woman has her contracts and her responsibilities too.”
At the time, Rauw and Rosalía appeared to be moving toward marriage. The couple began dating in 2020 before publicly confirming their romance the following year. In March 2023, they revealed their engagement in the music video for “Beso,” a track from their collaborative project RR.
