Brown was featured on "On Purpose," hosted by Jay Shetty, where she discussed her anxiety spirals and how they tend to affect her for windows of time. Brown discussed one of her most intense bouts of anxiety, which lasted three months and began when she and her security staff were chased by an unnamed party for 20 minutes.

One of the things that helped her reconnect with herself and let go of the anxiety was a trip she took to Kyoto, where she visited some monks during her husband, Jake Bongiovi's birthday.

“I went to Japan and I sat with these monks and it was the most amazing experience,” she said. “I'm getting teary-eyed talking about it, but it took me out of the cycle. I needed it.”

“It was amazing. I will never forget the feeling.”

Brown revealed that she felt so light after the experience that she felt she took over Bongiovi's birthday celebration. “I remember being like, ‘I'm sorry, I feel like it's my birthday,’” she said. “Finally, peace in my heart. And my husband literally said, ‘You radiated this light after.’”
