Sarah Jessica Parker is supportive of her son, James Wilkie. The actress, who shares three kids with her husband Matthew Broderick, is celebrating her son's new portraits, which will be featured in a photography book.
Some of the photos were shared on James' Instagram, showing him flexing his biceps, staring at the camera, and more, in color and in black and white. "So dope!!" he captioned the images, tagging photographer Brad Walsh and thanking him for the inclusion.
Parker was one of the many people who dropped a sweet comment. "Ah handsome. And happy. Xxx, mama," she wrote.
Other followers shared comments of their own, including figures in the entertainment world, who've long had connections with Parker. "GREAT!" wrote Andy Bravo. "There's my guy," wrote the director Adam Shankman.
The photos belong to a new book by Wash, called "FELLA." “The images inside span Walsh’s career as a fashion and nightlife photographer from 2002-2018, as well as impromptu and candid snaps taken over the last two decades," reads the book's description on Walsh's Instagram. "Subjects include many types of men - mostly ordinary people - peppered with actors, singers, models, and other cultural figures.”
You can check out the portraits on his Instagram.
James Wilkie is following in the footsteps of his parents
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have a private marriage. While the two have been married for decades and are prominent figures in New York, they keep their children and their relationship out of the spotlight. They share three kids, James, 23, and Marion and Tabitha, 16.
As James has grown up, he's begun to share more details of his life on his social media, including some photos of his graduation from Brown University, where he graduated last year.
Earlier this year, his father revealed that James was trying out acting and was featured on an episode of "Elsbeth," the CBS show that stars Broderick. "I was so proud and happy to work with my son James," said Broderick in an interview with PEOPLE.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, James shared that he was trying to catch up with his mother's work, including "Sex and the City." "I tried to watch the new one and I liked it but then I felt weird, 'cause I haven’t watched the original," he said of Parker's show, "And Just Like That..." "I guess it's kind of obvious why maybe I hadn’t watched the original show as a kid."
