Josh Duhamel is officially a dad of three!
The 53-year-old actor and his wife, Audra Mari, 32, just welcomed their second child together. Duhamel shared the exciting news on Instagram Saturday, May 16, revealing their newborn daughter’s distinctive name alongside a sweet batch of photos.
“Rocca de Leon Duhamel our baby girl is here 🤍🕊️,” he wrote in the caption.
The couple already shares 2-year-old son Shepherd. Duhamel is also dad to 12-year-old Axl, whom he shares with ex-wife Fergie.
The photo carousel included adorable polaroids of the baby sleeping, a shot of the proud dad raising a champagne bottle beside her bassinet, and a smiling snap of Duhamel and Mari together.
Other photos captured Shepherd meeting his baby sister for the first time and the newborn cuddled up on her mom’s chest at the hospital.
Before Rocca arrived, Duhamel opened up about becoming a girl dad while chatting with E! News about his comedy Preschool. Speaking with fellow new dad Derek Hough, Duhamel admitted he was beyond excited.
“I don't know what to make of it. I'm just so — I cannot wait to meet her,” he said. “And I think there's something about dads and their little girls. It's different, you know?”
Mari first announced her pregnancy on Instagram with a black-and-white photo dump showing off her baby bump. In one picture, she sat cross-legged on a bed wearing a partially unbuttoned top with her stomach on display while smiling at the camera. Another showed her lovingly cradling her belly.
“Adding a little girl to our story. We can’t wait to meet you,” she captioned the post.
Back in August, the Life as We Know It star spoke with People about fatherhood and whether he’d want to add a daughter to the mix.
“I just love being a dad. I love every single milestone,” Duhamel said.
At the time, he also talked about how different his two sons are from each other.
“My wife's father is a big car guy and a collector of cars, and I think that Shepherd is very much like his grandfather,” Duhamel told People. “He just loves cars... and all he wants to do is get up in the seat and just pretend like he's driving. Even if it's a little tricycle, he wants to get in there and pretend.”
