Millie Bobby Brown is living through one of the best moments of her life. The young actress is raising a daughter with her husband Jake Bongiovi, and is opening up about her parenting journey.
In a new video shared by UNICEF, where Brown serves as a Goodwill Ambassador, she talked about some of her experiences as a new mother, answering some popular questions while sharing a look at her everyday routines.
When discussing one of the things that surprised her about motherhood, Brown said that the amount of love she felt for her daughter was something she couldn't imagine before. "I don't understand how so much happens in my heart. It's incomprehensible," she said,
She also revealed that she and her daughter share a love for food, which has become one of their love languages, with them always trying each other's food and bonding over it. Brown also revealed that one of the things she cares most about raising a daughter is empowering her. "It's a real responsibility," she said.
"I try to learn as much as I can and feed it into her life so that she knows nothing other than girls supporting girls, women succeeding, women achieving their dreams, and living in a world and building a better world for her. That isn't unrealistic, but it sets a standard for her to know that she shouldn't settle for anything less."
Brown and Bongiovi's advice as they go through their parenting journey
Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi became parents last year when they announced they had adopted a daughter over the summer. The couple has since shared details of their lives without revealing their daughter's name and always ensuring to keep her away from the public eye.
In her interview with UNICEF, Brown revealed the advice that has become the center of her parenting style with Bongiovi. "Take it one day at a time," she said. "My husband and I always say like today was today and tomorrow is tomorrow. Let's just sleep tonight."
The couple got married in 2024, enjoying a year-long engagement. While the two are young, they have plans to have more children in the future.
