In an interview with Hudson, Vergara opened up about her friendship with Pitbull, which began after he performed at her wedding with Joe Manganiello

"That was so much fun," she said, after being shown an image of herself onstage alongside Pitbull, with her dressed up as a taxi cab. "I had no business doing anything there, but he had sung at my wedding, and we became friends," she said.

"And then he's like 'Sofia, I'm gonna be performing in the Grammys.' Is there any way that you would do this?' and I was like 'Yes!'"

"I was like 'Oh, let me put on this whole little outfit that I had,'" she continued, cracking up with Octavia Spencer. "And I had a great time. I want to do that again."

When asked if she had stage fright for the performance, she said no. "Who's gonna get stage fright from being in a costume and dancing? I didn't have to learn lines or anything," she said.

More details about Vergara and Spencer's partnership

Vergara and Spencer are two notorious actresses who've partnered up for a cause that's close to their hearts. The two have partnered up for a health initiative called Detect the SOS, urging people with blood pressure and type 2 diabetes to prioritize their uACR screening, which comes in the shape of a non-invasive urine test.

Both shared that the health conditions are personal to them, with Spencer revealing that she has type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, two conditions that affect a large percentage of black women.

"My mother has been struggling with high blood pressure for years. In my family, there's this thing with everybody having high blood pressure," explained Vergara. "It's very scary. It's silent and can be causing damage, and you don't know."

"It's a little bit frustrating to me that there's actually a test. A person who already has high blood pressure and diabetes should be doing this test."
