Suri Cruise channels her New Yorker roots in sweats for an iced coffee run

Suri Cruise is showing the world how New Yorkers get it done. The daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise was photographed in the city, where she spent her Memorial Day alongside her mother and likely her grandparents. She was spotted grabbing some iced coffee in comfy clothes as she entered the subway to an unknown destination.

Suri was spotted dressed comfortably and cozy for the chilly Memorial Day weekend weather. She styled her hair in a ponytail and wore grey sweatpants, a blue t-shirt, and a dark grey sweater. She was carrying a brown leather tote bag and some blue and white sneakers. 

Paparazzi captured Suri as she bought some iced coffee from a drinks truck. She was seen nursing her drink as she made her way to the subway, making her way through the city that she knows so well.

Suri is currently wrapping up her freshman year at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This means that she'll likely be back home for the remainder of the summer, something that her mother is likely thrilled about. 

"But what I love about New York is that for me and my child, this is our vibe," said Holmes in an interview with InStyle. "When there are 25 things to do every night, it takes you out of your own thing. And you know what else I discovered? There's a place not far from my house that does foot massages until midnight. That's what New York offers!" 

Tom Cruise's awkward Father's Day plans

Earlier this month, Tom Cruise was premiering his highly anticipated "Mission: Impossible" film at the Cannes Film Festival. During the red carpet, a reporter from E! News asked Cruise about his Father's Day plans, resulting in an awkward exchange. 

"You know..." Cruise said, trailing off. "Just having fun, man. Making movies, big adventures, having a great time." 

The clip quickly went viral, prompting many to revisit Cruise's relationship with his children: Isabella and Connor, whom he adopted while married to Nicole Kidman, and Suri. 

While Cruise has been photographed with his elder siblings, various outlets report that his relationship with Suri is non-existent, with her reportedly dropping the Cruise surname.
