Christina Ricci has turned to some curious options when faced with stress. The actress, known for her decades-long work that includes films like "Casper," "Sleepy Hollow," and shows like "Grey's Anatomy" and "Yellowjackets," has shared some of the details of her everyday life, including the places she turns to for answers when things are tough.

Ricci shared her revelations when asked about her spirituality. "I believe in energy and that animals are closer to the universe than us," she said.

"In my times of crisis, or in the past when I’ve been in desperate situations, I’ve literally talked to the birds outside in my garden and begged them to help me."

While the birds didn't answer back, the practice granted Ricci with some much-needed perspective. "I desperately needed shifts in my life and those things happened," she said. "Maybe it’s just focusing your own mind on what it is that you want, and every choice you make after that gets you closer to the thing that you need."

Ricci is currently starring in the third season of "Yellowjackets" and is promoting her own Tarot deck, called "Cat Full of Spiders."

What Tarot can do for its users

While Ricci makes it clear that Tarot can't provide people with the answers they seek, the practice can serve as a pathway for exploring new things and opening yourself to new experiences.

"That card has a certain theme or meaning," Ricci explained of the Tarot deck.

"Then if you look at your question again, through the lens of that, you’re all of a sudden looking at the problem from another perspective. That can help your mind answer your question, through your own self knowledge. For me, it’s much more a tool that allows us to use our own amazing mental power.
