Pedro Pascal is done shooting "Fantastic Four," but he's not losing any of his progress. The Chilean actor was photographed leaving the gym in Los Angeles, showing that he's kicking off the year with his health and fitness in mind.

Pascal was photographed wearing a black outfit made out of basketball shorts, and a printed t-shirt. He rounded out the look with high socks and sneakers and was seen making his way to his car as he fished for his keys in his shorts' pockets.

He was carrying his glasses as he was seen climbing into his car.

Pascal's physical transformation began after he was cast in "The Fantastic Four: First Steps," scheduled to be released this year. The film is Marvel's next big bet and appears to be the lynchpin of the franchise's future. Pascal plays the role of Reed Richards, known as Mr. Fantastic. He's the leader of the Fantastic Four, rounded out by Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss Bachrach).

The film began shooting in July 2024 and concluded in November, with most of the film shot in a studio in London and in Oviedo, Spain.

Pedro Pascal's physically challenging roles

Over the past couple of years, Pascal has signed up for various physically challenging roles, including "The Last of Us" and "Gladiator 2." He revealed that he's been getting in shape for the parts, particularly for "Gladiator 2," which proved to be challenging for his age.

“Yeah, I bet it was. I bet it was fun for him," said Pascal of his co-star Paul Mescal, who got in shape for the film as well. "Maybe it would’ve been fun for me too, if I was 20 years younger."

"I was under no single directive from the movie to get in any kind of shape, but I did,” he said to Entertainment Weekly. “Mainly so that I wouldn’t get hurt, and it didn’t work. I got hurt anyway. I got stronger than I’ve ever been just so that I can play the character, really.”
