During a recent interview with Vogue, Evangelista shared a heartwarming story about her ex-husband’s wife, who showed her kindness when she was feeling unwell and not in the mood to celebrate Thanksgiving.

“I was sick,” Linda told the publication. “And Salma got on the plane with her daughter, came here, and made Thanksgiving dinner,” she said, referring to Salma’s 15-year-old daughter Valentina with François.
© GettyImagesLinda remembered that she told Salma that she wouldn’t be doing anything special for Thanksgiving because she was feeling unwell. Upon hearing this, Salma took action, as she didn’t want Linda to spend the day alone.
“She spent the day in the kitchen and cooked it herself,” Linda recalled. “No help. The kids helped her at the end. She made a feast—a beautiful, beautiful meal. I had told her that I wasn’t going to have Thanksgiving, I wasn’t feeling well. And she said, ‘Oh yes you are. I am coming.‘ And poof, she was here,” she recalled.

Eventually, Salma and Francois-Henri resolved their differences and reconciled. Eleven months after the birth of Augustin, Salma gave birth to Valentina Paloma, making them half-siblings only a few months apart.
