Kylie Jenner joined the bleached eyebrow trend, becoming one of the most talked-about statements at the Met Gala 2026. The 28-year-old beauty mogul, known for her signature full, jet-black brows, switched things up to give an invisible brow effect during the fashion event.
While the look has been embraced by avant-garde creatives, singers, and models, including her sister, Kendall Jenner, the polarizing trend gave the mom of two a hard time when she tried to switch back to her normal self.

Jenner’s eyebrow transformation was carefully designed to complement her custom gown by Schiaparelli, which created a surrealist and sculptural design in a flesh-toned gown, creating a striking illusion of a woman in the process of undressing.
The bodice featured molded breast imprints, pushing the boundaries of red carpet fashion, while the intricate design required an astonishing 11,000 hours of craftsmanship, including 2,000 satin stitch balls, 10,000 natural baroque pearls, and more than 7,000 painted pearlescent fish scales.

Following her appearance, Jenner shared a carousel of images on Instagram: “Hold my brows, babe. I’m walking the Met.”
With over 390 million followers, Jenner’s beauty choices rarely go unnoticed; therefore, the response was divided. Some supporters applauded her for embracing a runway-inspired trend, while others felt the look washed out her features.

Despite the debate over her brows, Jenner’s overall styling remained polished and intentional. She wore her long, raven-colored hair in a deep side part, styled into soft, cascading waves that flowed over one shoulder.
She attended the event solo. Online, Jenner expressed excitement about the experience, calling the gown “perfect, perfect” and praising her glam team as a dream collaboration.
Kylie Jenner is the latest celeb to take the plunge into the bleached brow trend. The look that's been dominating runways and red carpets since Paris Fashion Week 2022, when global Pinterest searches for "bleached eyebrows" shot up 150%.

"Brow bleaching is something professionals can do to your brows to lift them a few shades lighter or completely eliminate the color to give that fashion-forward 'browless' look," Long explains.
There's a softer take in case you're not ready to go full alien-chic. "For darker-haired women, a more wearable option is lightening brows just one or two shades. It gives you a taste of the trend without fully committing."
