Queen Mathilde of Belgium stepped out in a striking emerald-green floral dress for her latest royal engagement, proving that a classic silhouette can make a statement with the right details.

The queen joined her husband, King Philippe, on Friday, October 23, for a special audience at the Castle of Laeken in Brussels, where the royal couple welcomed Vietnamese President To Lam and his wife, Ngo Phuong Ly.

For the occasion, Queen Mathilde opted for a long-sleeved, dark green midi dress featuring oversized white calla lilies, creating a beautiful contrast against the rich fabric.

The floral print extended from the upper bodice toward the hem, with long green stems and leaves adding an eye-catching detail to the elegant design.

The dress featured a classic round neckline, a fitted waist and a gently flared skirt that fell below the knees. The oversized flowers gave the otherwise understated silhouette a modern twist, making the look stand out without the need for elaborate accessories.

Mathilde completed her outfit with dark pointed-toe heels, a coordinating clutch and delicate earrings. She styled her blonde hair in her signature voluminous bob, keeping the overall look polished and sophisticated.

Two elegant looks, two different styles:

Queen Mathilde wasn't the only one embracing floral fashion during the special engagement. Vietnam's first lady, Ngo Phuong Ly, arrived in a vibrant yellow and golden áo dài, a traditional Vietnamese outfit consisting of a long tunic worn over trousers.

Her ensemble featured intricate floral detailing, with warm golden tones transitioning into bright yellow toward the bottom. She completed the look with a brown clutch and elegant earrings.

The two women offered a striking contrast in color and style, with Mathilde's deep green dress standing out alongside the first lady's vibrant yellow ensemble.

Although their outfits reflected different fashion traditions, both incorporated oversized floral designs, creating an interesting connection between their looks.

A special royal welcome in Belgium:

The fashionable appearance came during an official audience hosted by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde for President To Lam and Ngo Phuong Ly, who were visiting Belgium from October 21 to 24.
