Queen Mathilde brought an unexpected accessory to her latest royal look. Dressed in a floral coat, a gray headpiece, and pointed heels, the Belgian queen stepped forward to try archery while King Philippe watched with a smile before taking his own turn.

The sporting moment came during the couple’s October 14 visit to the Haragun Country Club in Almaty, where they explored Kazakhstan’s nomadic traditions on the final day of their state visit.

The program included an equestrian display and traditional yurts, offering a colorful setting for their afternoon together.

Mathilde appeared focused as she drew back the bowstring, keeping her sunglasses on while aiming the arrow. One photograph captured Philippe smiling behind her, while another offered a full view of the queen’s stance, complete with her slender heels planted on the carpet beneath her.

Her outfit brought plenty of visual interest of its own. The structured coat featured intricate floral patterning, with blue blossoms across the upper section, silvery gray through the middle and a vivid pink panel around the hem. Its gently flared silhouette and neat stand collar gave the richly patterned piece a polished finish.

Mathilde kept her accessories closely coordinated. Her gray headpiece complemented her pointed pumps, while a structured handbag echoed the coat’s palette with pink accents. Pearl drop earrings and gold bracelets added the finishing touches, and her blonde hair was swept back into soft curls beneath the headpiece.

Even with a bow in her hands, every element of the look remained visible, making the photographs an especially memorable blend of royal dressing and an active afternoon.

Philippe also picked up a bow, drawing back the string as an instructor stood beside him. Wearing a navy suit with a patterned tie and white pocket square, the king joined his wife in taking part in the cultural activities.

The couple’s outing included time at the stables, too. Mathilde was photographed smiling as she reached up to stroke a gray horse’s face, with Philippe standing nearby.

The quieter encounter provided another warm moment during a day centered on Kazakhstan’s equestrian heritage. The Almaty stop concluded a state visit running from October 11 to 14, with engagements in both Astana and Almaty.
