Kate Middleton looked incredible at the most recent royal state banquet. The Princess of Wales accompanied Prince William, King Charles, and Queen Camilla as they hosted a banquet to honor the state visit of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman.
For the occasion, Middleton brought out her favorite tiara: Queen Mary's Lover's Knot, a crown with a long history. It was one of Princess Diana's favorites, frequently worn on memorable occasions. Ever since Middleton first wore it in 2015, the crown has become a regular piece in her wardrobe, saved for some of the most elegant occasions on her calendar.
Middleton tends to wear crowns on very specific occasions, like state banquets and diplomatic receptions.
She paired the tiara with a stunning Ellie Saab gown, one of her favorite designers. The gown is buttery yellow and made for a great contrast to the blue Royal Victorian sash and star. She also wore King Charles' Royal Family order, a badge that was first introduced in 2024 and features a portrait of the King. The badge is a private honor bestowed on women in the royal family, with known recipients including Camilla, Princess Anne, and more.
Middleton completed the look with jewelry, including various diamond bracelets, heels, and a matching clutch purse.
Prince Harry's desire to reunite with his family
Over the past couple of months, following the return of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to the UK, the dynamic at the heart of the royal family has been in the media's attention. Harry has spoken about his estranged relationship with his family, notably his older brother William.
In an interview with GQ, Harry was asked about his relationship with his brother and father and whether he wanted to reconcile.
“Yes, of course,” he said. He then noted that family rifts are "relatable" for people, which is likely why the question continues to come up in his life.
“That’s probably why there’s so much fascination. And then people maybe look at us and go, ‘How are you going to work it out?’ And then, maybe, how I see you’re going to work it out, maybe that will help me work my stuff out. And some people don’t want it to work out. I want it to work out," concluded Harry.
