Hailey Bieber is exploring two very different sides of glamour. Just days after stepping out in bubblegum-pink Chanel at the Academy Museum Gala, the model was photographed back at work in Los Angeles, this time wearing a black lingerie-inspired ensemble with playful proportions.
Bieber posed in a doorway at Dust Studios on North Formosa Avenue on October 20, with the production crew gathered around her. The setting offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a fashion shoot, and an outfit that brought together delicate straps, statement cutouts, and a dramatic platform heel.
The focal point was a butterfly-shaped bralette design, with sculptural fabric framing the bust and fine double straps extending over her shoulders.
Sheer mesh added another layer of detail, while large cutouts left her waist exposed. A narrow central section connected the upper portion of the look to the gathered fabric below, creating an intricate silhouette.
The lower half introduced a softer, more exaggerated shape. Black satin-like fabric gathered into a short, puffed silhouette with a bloomer-like effect, balancing the barely-there upper portion with plenty of volume. The combination gave the outfit a theatrical quality, with lingerie references running through the entire look.
Sheer black tights continued the dark palette, while black-and-white platform heels added a graphic finishing touch. Featuring peep toes and ankle straps, the towering shoes brought a retro mood to the styling and stood out against the otherwise all-black ensemble.
Her beauty look offered a softer counterpoint. Bieber wore her dark brown hair loose with a center part and relaxed waves, framing her face without competing with the outfit’s elaborate construction. Rosy cheeks and a muted pink lip completed the look.
From pink Chanel to dramatic black:
The studio appearance followed Bieber’s attendance at the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on October 17.
For that occasion, she wore a custom bubblegum-pink Chanel gown by Matthieu Blazy, featuring a fitted column silhouette and an embellished neckline. The floor-length design offered a sleek contrast to the volume and cutouts of her latest ensemble.
Even her gala manicure introduced an unexpected detail. Celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt created glossy, almond-shaped black nails, adding a darker accent to the candy-colored gown.
