Grace Kelly’s granddaughter Camille Gottlieb brought a fresh pop of color to the 77th Monaco Red Cross Gala, arriving in a soft yellow Elisabetta Franchi gown alongside Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene.
Held at Sporting Monte-Carlo on Saturday, July 18, the annual benefit drew members of Monaco’s royal family, international dignitaries and other prominent guests. Camille posed with her aunt and uncle, while Charlene stepped out in a striking asymmetrical gold gown.
The evening carried special significance for the princess. This year marks two decades since Charlene first attended the gala, an appearance that introduced her to Monaco’s social scene and began her long association with the event.
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene led the evening as president and vice president of the Monaco Red Cross. Beyond the elegant setting and high-profile guest list, the gala raised funds for humanitarian programs, emergency response efforts, community assistance and first-aid education.
The Night’s Standout Looks and Guests
Camille, the daughter of Princess Stéphanie, has become a familiar presence at the annual gala. Her pale yellow gown featured a refined, understated silhouette that stood out against the evening’s more traditional black-tie looks.
Charlene’s gold design offered a dramatic contrast. The asymmetrical cut gave the gown a modern edge, while its metallic finish suited the grandeur of the occasion.
The guest list included several notable figures:
- Kate Forbes, president of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
- Caroline Cross, president of the French Red Cross
- Grand Duke George Romanov, heir to the Russian Imperial House, accompanied by his wife, Victoria Romanovna
- Monaco’s Minister of State, Christophe Mirmand, and his wife, Catherine
- Actress and model Estelle Lefébure
- Actor and director Michel Boujenah
What Was New at the 77th Gala
Organizers introduced several new elements for this year’s edition. For the first time, guests encountered an immersive 360-degree experience upon entering the Sporting Monte-Carlo lobby.
Dinner was served in the iconic Salle des Étoiles. Three-Michelin-starred chef Marcel Ravin developed the menu with the Sporting’s culinary team, while celebrated pastry chef Cédric Grolet created the dessert.
The traditional raffle followed dinner and featured four luxury prizes. Guests then stepped outside for a fireworks display over the Mediterranean.
The evening’s main performance was SOUL! Where Legends Come Back, an original production tracing the evolution of Black American music from rock ’n’ roll to contemporary R&B.
The celebration continued at Jimmy’z Monte-Carlo, which was transformed for the night into an intimate speakeasy with live jazz.
A Meaningful Gift
Artist Johan Creten donated his work Éloge de l’Espoir to the Monaco Red Cross. Part of his acclaimed Odore di Femmina series, the sculpture reflects themes of resilience, strength and humanitarian hope.
The donation added a symbolic note to an evening centered on both celebration and service.
