Queen Máxima is back to her royal duties following a trip to Venice. The Queen of the Netherlands attended the inauguration of the new building of Stichting AAP, a space designed to house different exotic animals in environments that adapt to their needs. For the outing, she wore a fitting green outfit that highlights Maxima's charisma and style.

Maxima is back after her trip with King Willem-Alexander

The appearance marked one of her first public outings since traveling to Italy with King Willem-Alexander. As always, Maxima used fashion to make a statement, opting for a monochromatic look that felt polished, sophisticated, and energetic all at once. Her ability to wear bold colors with confidence has become one of the defining features of her style over the years.

The royal couple's visit to Venice attracted attention for Maxima's glamorous wardrobe choices, which tend to blend timeless silhouettes with playful contemporary touches.

Short skirts can be elegant too

For the outing in Almere, Máxima wore a green jacket and skirt combination. The jacket was styled closed, serving as a top, with a high neckline and a tight and flattering waist. The skirt came in a matching tone, with its cut landing just above the knee, granting a more youthful edge to the look.

The outfit is designed by Natan, one of Queen Máxima's favorite brands of everyday clothing. She's worn parts of it on different occasions. This time around, she completed the look with a pillbox hat in the same shade as the skirt and jacket. She completed the look with some stunning emerald earrings.

Máxima paired the ensemble with neutral accessories, allowing the vivid green shade to remain the focal point of the look.

Maxima's favorite colors

Queen Máxima has a voice when it comes to her fashion choices. She's always loved color, opting for maximalist looks that highlight bright tones and bold accessories, resulting in joyful and energizing outfits. Over the years, she's worn bright reds, oranges, yellows, greens, and blues, always finding the perfect occasion to showcase them.

Emerald green is one of her favorite tones and is one that's long been connected to harmony, renewal, and natural elegance. It's also a color that fits well with her hairstyle and complexion.

Máxima's embrace of bold shades has helped distinguish her from other European royals, many of whom tend to favor more neutral palettes. Whether attending state dinners, royal tours, or daytime engagements, Maxima consistently proves that color is always memorable and can be whatever you want it to be.
