Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, the daughter Prince Albert of Monaco had while single, has made a striking return to Monaco, and it was far from casual. She announced her new work wearing a breathtaking Schiaparelli design, framed by the unmistakable urban landscape of Monte Carlo.

The eldest daughter of the Monegasque sovereign, born and raised in California, playfully posed from the Hôtel de Paris, a strategic property, a national symbol, and one of the Grimaldi family’s iconic showpieces. Just as her brother Alexandre Grimaldi did a few months ago, she is stepping back into public life and staking her place, albeit unofficially, as the sovereign’s daughter.

If last May it was her brother Alexandre lending his image to the launch of the new Monte-Carlo Beach Club, an emblematic Monaco venue, now Jazmin Grace is doing something quite similar.

While this isn’t an official launch tied to one of the Principality’s tourist landmarks, she posed in a building that is instantly recognizable, part of Société des Bains de Mer, the same entity that oversees the beach club, the casino, and the opera.

This organization, whose majority shareholder is the State of Monaco and which was created by sovereign decree, has been central to shaping Monaco’s international image. Through these businesses, which have promoted tourism, luxury, and gaming for over a century, the Grimaldi family has consolidated much of its institutional and symbolic influence in the country.

Although for years it remained private, partly out of respect for Prince Rainier, a man of advanced age and deeply traditional beliefs, Prince Albert of Monaco has always been part of the lives of his two eldest children, born before his marriage to Princess Charlene, and therefore outside the line of succession.

While they do not hold official titles, they are children of the head of state and integral to the Grimaldi family image. In recent months, however, since launching her own rosé wine, Jazmin Grace had maintained a quiet, enigmatic presence, even deleting much of her social media content. Over time, it became public that she had ended her long-term relationship with Ian Mellencamp and was working on her new album.

The surprise came in early March, coinciding with her 34th birthday, when Jazmin Grace announced she would tell her own story through a serialized account she called 'The Princess Diaries.'

The stage actress and singer recounts how it felt growing up in Palm Springs, California, to be thrust into the spotlight upon discovering that her father is a European prince and her grandmother a Hollywood icon, Grace Kelly, after whom she is named.

The life of Jazmin Grace Grimaldi has often been described as extraordinary, surpassing typical narratives. During her early years, she was labeled “illegitimate,” a term her brother Alexandre Grimaldi has strongly criticized for failing to reflect the love, care, and attention they received from their father, Prince Albert, and from Princess Stéphanie, as well as other family members who have supported them in claiming their rightful place within the Grimaldi family.
