The Duchess of Cambridge has yet to virtually meet Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ’s daughter Lilibet Diana. On Friday, following a roundtable discussion on early childhood education, Kate was asked if she has FaceTimed with her one-week-old niece. “No, I haven’t. No,” the Duchess replied.
While they have yet to meet, Princess Charlotte’s mom wished the Sussexes’ baby girl “the very best.” The Duchess said, “I wish her all the very best. I can’t wait to meet her because we haven’t yet met her yet, so hopefully that will be soon.”
People magazine reported earlier this week that Meghan and Harry have already introduced their newborn to Queen Elizabeth via video call.

The Duke and Duchess, who are no longer working members of the royal family, announced their daughter’s arrival on Sunday.
Buckingham Palace reacted to the royal baby’s birth with a statement that read (via HELLO!): “The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news of the birth of a daughter for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
Prince William and Kate also celebrated Meghan and Harry’s baby news with a separate message on their social media accounts. “We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili,” the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wrote. “Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.”
