Coachella kicks off this weekend, and celebrities, influencers, and music lovers will be in the desert to watch the biggest names in music take the stage. With Karol G, Sabrina Carpenter, and Justin Bieber headlining the iconic festival, there is expected to be approximately 125,000 people per day. Meaning, 125,000 mouths ready to eat. The festival doesn't just deliver with the names on the lineup; they have delicious options for food and drinks. There will be over 100 restaurants, bars, and pop-ups on the grounds with global flavors. Here are all the Latin and Hispanic eats and drinks you should check out.
Villa's Tacos (Indio Central Market)
Based out of Los Angeles, Villa's Tacos earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand Award. Known for their handmade blue-corn tacos, the mulitas are huge, and their asada is a must-try. They also usually have potato, soyrizo, and frijoles con nopal if you're vegetarian.
Cena Vegan (Indio Central Market, Street Food Alley)
An LA staple since 2016, Cena Vegan has built a cult following for flipping traditional Mexican dishes fully plant-based without losing flavor. Everything is rooted in family recipes, from tacos to loaded plates, and it genuinely doesn’t feel like you’re missing meat. Even non-vegans end up here. They’re doing a full taco party lineup and bringing back the Crunchwrap for the festival.
Birrieria San Marcos (12 Peaks VIP, Outdoor Theater VIP)
If you’re craving something rich and comforting, Birrieria San Marcos delivers. Known for their slow-cooked birria de res, everything is packed with deep, bold flavor. Think juicy, tender meat, consommé for dipping, and the kind of tacos you’ll still be thinking about after the set ends. They’ll even have craft beers and specialty cocktails.
Birrieria Michi (Beer Barn, Coachella Courtyard, Rose Garden VIP)
Family-owned and serious about their craft, Birrieria Michi is all about doing birria right. Their version is super flavorful and satisfying, with that perfect balance of crispy, juicy, and messy in the best way. If you’re choosing between birria spots… You might just end up trying both.
Café La Vecindad (Street Food Alley)
This family-owned coffee spot is all about cafecito culture, and they’re going fully vegan for the festival, a first ever for the festival. From strawberry, matcha dirty horchata lattes and cold brew - it’s the kind of place you stop at in the morning - or mid-day at a festival when you need a reset.
Churrería El Moro (Terrace North)
Straight out of Mexico City, Churrería El Moro is iconic. They’ve been serving churros since 1935, and this is their Coachella debut. Expect perfectly crispy, sugar-coated churros with rich chocolate and dulce de leche dips - simple, classic, and worth the line.
Delmy’s Pupusas (12 Peaks VIP)
Bringing Salvadoran flavor to the desert, Delmy’s serves handmade pupusas stuffed with everything from cheese to savory fillings, topped with curtido and salsa. They call them “pockets of love,” and it tracks.
Gerard’s Paella (12 Peaks VIP, Coachella Courtyard)
A Coachella classic that people come back for every year. Gerard’s authentic Spanish Paella cooks everything fresh on-site, with big pans of saffron rice, chicken, shrimp, and all the good stuff. It’s one of the few spots that feels like a full meal, not just a quick bite.
Mixteca (Coachella Courtyard) – 21+
More than just drinks, Mixteca brings a high-level cocktail experience rooted in Mexican flavors. Led by top-tier bartending talent, expect thoughtful, well-balanced cocktails that feel a little elevated compared to your standard festival drink.
Tacos 1986 (12 Peaks VIP, Coachella Courtyard)
An LA favorite known for doing tacos the right way. Handmade tortillas, flame-grilled meats, and a standout adobada carved straight from the trompo. The asada and pollo are always solid, but if you know, you know, the adobada is the move.
Gabino’s Creperie (Street Food Alley)
Argentine-inspired and born out of local pop-ups, Gabino’s takes a childhood favorite and elevates it into something way more craveable. Their handheld crepes lean both sweet and savory, with bold flavors and a little indulgence in every bite.
