The cup began yesterday, with a Mexico kick off that featured two goals from the South American team, and performances from Shakira, Mana, Belinda, Danny Ocean, and more. The tournament is scheduled to run until July 19th, making it the perfect opportunity for you to dive in and make the most of the incoming month.
The Knicks vs The Spurs (Fubo TV)
If you're in New York, you can't escape the Knicks. Following a stressful week with a loss and a miraculous edge-of-your-seat win, the Knicks could take it all this Saturday, winning four of the seven NBA Finals matches.
The Listeners (Starz)
When it comes to non-sports things, it's an interesting week of releases, featuring a lot of soap-opera-like and romance TV. "The Listeners" is not that. Starring horror queen Rebecca Hall, the series follows an English teacher who begins to hear a low humming sound that only a few people can pick up on, pushing her to the brink of her sanity.
Alice and Steve (Hulu)
"Alice and Steve" follows two longtime friends whose relationship grows complicated after Steve begins to date Alice's daughter, Izzy. It goes to some awkward and poignant places, and it's definitely worth a watch if the description piques your interest.
I Am Frankelda (Netflix)
"I Am Frankelda" is Mexico's first stop-motion film, following an aspiring writer in Mexico who's contacted by a Prince who needs her help to save his kingdom. Guillermo del Toro served as one of the film's producers, sharing his support for the project in a post on X. "Made by humans for humans," he wrote.
Sweet Magnolias (Netflix)
Netflix has just released its fifth season, following three women from South Carolina as they cope with friendship, love, and their careers.
Every Year After (Prime Video)
Lastly, Prime Video is continuing to bet on romance. "Every Year After" is their latest teen series, following two teens in love who are separated after a mysterious incident, reuniting 10 years later.
