Jennifer Aniston has already confessed that the haircut she regrets, despite it being a piece of hairdressing history, is "The Rachel," the signature look the actress debuted for the first season of the series Friends.
However, she wasn't referring to that style in her latest social media post, but rather to the bangs she has sported on several occasions (mostly due to script requirements). As she reminds us, she has worn them in various versions: straight, parted, and even side-swept.
With the caption "Think before you bang…👀", Jennifer reminded us of the times she has worn the horizontal cut that disguises forehead wrinkles and draws attention to the eyes. She also joked about how long it takes to grow back, although Rocío Mayoral, Hair Manager at the salon The Beauty Concept Hair, assures us it’s not that bad, "It grows at the same rate as the rest of the hair, about 0.6 to 0.8 inches, depending on the person. If we weren't too daring, we could start tucking it behind the ear or clearing it from the face in 2 or 3 months."
The keys to avoiding regret
The expert from The Beauty Concept Hair shares a few ways to ensure you never regret the decision to cut bangs, "Above all, consider whether you know how to style it or not, so there are no surprises. If you don't usually style your hair, I recommend leaving it a bit longer." Additionally, she adds options depending on whether you want to soften your features or define them more:
- "If we want to soften features, we can opt for a Bardot or butterfly-style fringe, which is also very flattering and versatile, ideal for leaving loose with a casual updo or hair up."
- "For the more daring, if we want to emphasize the eyes, we can choose a denser and more solid fringe."
That said, the hair expert does not recommend bangs for round faces, "as they tend to shorten the features and can accentuate that effect even more."
Even though the actress regrets the times she has worn them, her followers don't agree with her. The post has accumulated more than 1.7 million likes and comments, including one from her friend and colleague Sandra Bullock, who left her a message assuring her: "You wear them best ♥️."
