Kylie Jenner lands major acting role - will Timothée Chalamet give her tips?

Kylie did not have to audition for the project

Kylie Jenner is ready for her next career reinvention, and she's switching up her reality TV storylines for a dead bride, suspicious friends, and murder.  The billionaire makeup mogul is set to headline and executive produce Bachelorette Weekend, a thriller drama being developed for Hulu, in what will be her first major scripted acting role. If her boyfriend, Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet, has any acting advice to offer, now would probably be a good time to share it.

The series, which is based on an unpublished novel by Flora Collins and written by Lauren Oliver, follows a bachelorette weekend that takes a very dark turn when the bride, played by Kylie, ends up murdered in a pool, according to Deadline.

Her closest friends become suspects as the story pieces together what happened leading up to her death. So yes, Kylie’s character is dead, but her presence will presumably loom large as the series unpacks what happened that weekend.

Her role is described as the “North Star” of the series, meaning the mystery revolves around her character and the events that led to her death.

Kylie will also executive produce the project alongside sister Kim Kardashian, who reportedly received the script first and thought it would be the perfect starring vehicle for Kylie.

So it looks like the Kardashian-Jenner sisters are apparently building their own little Hollywood studio that doesn't require them to do hours' worth of self-tapes and face rejection.

The move also mirrors Kim's own recent transition into scripted entertainment. After years of reality television, Kim has taken on increasingly major roles behind and in front of the camera, including her Hulu legal drama All's Fair and the upcoming Netflix movie The Fifth Wheel.

Kylie Jenner has been testing out acting

While Kylie has no traditional acting career under her belt, she isn’t completely new to stepping in front of a camera. She was only 9 when her famous family's reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered.

Earlier this year, she made her film acting debut in Charli XCX’s "The Moment", playing a fictionalized version of herself in the satirical movie. In an August interview with Who What Wear, she admitted how nervous she was and how she went to Kim, who was doing All's Fair, to ask if she thought it was a good idea. "At first, she was like, 'Okay, just make sure you're prepared for this—blah, blah, blah.' She was a little more iffy," she explained.

"And then I read my part to her, how I planned to do it, and she was like, 'Oh! Kylie! You got this. Do it just how you did it on the phone. It's great.' And it gave me that confidence," Kylie continued.

Kylie revealed in the same interview that she has already passed on two scripts that didn't feel like the right fit. But she made it clear she was interested in doing more acting, but said that she is being careful about what she chooses next, especially because taking on a major role could mean traveling and spending time away from her children, Stormi and Aire.

"I'm feeling more precious about what I do next because I want to make sure it's the right fit, especially if I'm going to do something major and have to travel and be away from my kids. I want to make sure it feels right," she said.

In March, she also opened up about her interest in acting - particularly comedy. “I really like comedy. I think I’m good at it," she told Vanity Fair, adding, “Maybe next time I talk to you, I’ll be the lead of an action movie!”

Timothée Chalamet could be her Hollywood cheat code

Kylie just happens to have one of Hollywood's most recognizable young actors as her boyfriend. She has been dating the Dune star since 2023, and the two have increasingly been spotted supporting each other's worlds.

In December 2025, he shouted out her debut in The Moment, telling Good Morning America, “I want everything to be great, and A24 is an independent finance company. They got a great movie coming out called The Moment." “Let’s do a double promo, baby,” he told someone off camera. A24 distributed both of the films.

While there’s no indication that he is involved with Bachelorette Weekend or serving as her acting coach, it certainly can't hurt to have someone who knows a thing or two about navigating major movie roles in your corner.
