Jennifer Lopez may be accustomed to cameras following her every move, but her latest Paris outing appeared to test her patience. The 57-year-old singer and actress was photographed in the French capital on September 29 during Paris Fashion Week, stepping out in a romantic white lace slip dress for a shopping trip.
But what began as another major J.Lo street-style moment became noticeably tense when photographers crowded around her. Video from the outing shows Lopez stopping and addressing the paparazzi directly after photographers followed her through the street.

Lopez was frustrated by the commotion rather than interested in making a dramatic exit. She remained composed, but her facial expressions in photos from the outing also captured a noticeably more serious side of the usually camera-ready star.
And yet, in true Jennifer Lopez fashion, even an irritating paparazzi encounter came with an outfit worth discussing.

Lopez arrived in Paris after spending several days in Milan for Fashion Week, where she had already delivered a string of dramatically different looks. With the fashion calendar shifting from Milan to Paris, she followed, trading some of the maximalist glamour she had worn in Italy for something considerably softer.
During her Paris outing, Lopez was seen shopping while surrounded by fans, photographers and members of her entourage. She visited the fashionable Rue Saint-Honoré area, home to both Goyard and Stella McCartney boutiques. Goyard operates a boutique at 233 Rue Saint-Honoré, while Stella McCartney's Paris Saint-Honoré store is located next door at 231.

It featured ultra-thin spaghetti straps, a simple satin panel across the bust and intricate floral lace extending down the body. The loose, ankle-grazing silhouette was worlds away from the body-conscious gowns, towering heels, and high-impact styling that have long been associated with J.Lo.
The back was particularly daring, dipping dramatically low and leaving much of her back exposed.
Jennifer Lopez's White Lace Slip Dress Wasn't the Surprise
The dress was classic J.Lo territory. The shoes absolutely were not. Instead of reaching for platforms, stilettos or barely-there sandals, Lopez paired the delicate lace dress with chunky black leather loafers and conspicuous white crew socks.
Call them granny shoes, schoolgirl loafers or simply fashion's latest anti-heel moment, they were the complete opposite of the footwear Lopez has been wearing throughout much of her recent Fashion Month run.

She finished the look with oversized amber-tinted aviator sunglasses, delicate gold jewelry and stacks of bracelets. Her highlighted brunette hair was loosely pulled back, with undone pieces falling around her face.
For her handbag, Lopez carried a small quilted black Lady Dior, giving the outfit another dark accent that connected neatly with the loafers.

J.Lo's Paris Fashion Week Style Era Is Getting Interesting
Lopez's arrival in Paris follows an especially experimental run in Milan. Just days earlier, she leaned heavily into maximalism, including a head-to-toe leopard-print moment during Milan Fashion Week.
She later switched directions with a crisp white button-down and wide-leg jeans before arriving in Paris and changing the fashion conversation yet again.
