Jennifer Lopez has officially arrived in Milan, and she is wasting no time delivering major fashion moments.

A voluminous black ball gown worthy of a modern-day princess.
Lopez was photographed making her way through Milan in the striking all-black creation, which featured a fitted, lingerie-inspired bodice with delicate lace and a romantic scalloped neckline.

The exaggerated volume gave the look the grandeur of a traditional ball gown, while its shorter hemline allowed Lopez's pointed black pumps to peek out underneath.

The jewels stole the show:
As dramatic as the gown was, Lopez's jewelry provided an unexpected burst of color.

Coordinating earrings added even more sparkle, creating a vivid contrast against the otherwise entirely black ensemble.
The combination of the enormous skirt, opera gloves and colorful jewels made the outing feel worlds away from the relaxed tailoring Lopez wore when she first touched down in Milan.

The look offered a daring spin on classic black-and-white dressing as she prepared for the start of Milan Fashion Week.

Lopez kept the glamour going above the neckline. Her caramel-highlighted hair was worn long and loose in polished, cascading waves, with plenty of volume through the lengths. Rather than competing with the elaborate dress and necklace, the style added to the romantic quality of the ensemble.

The glamorous appearance comes just two months after Lopez reunited with Dolce & Gabbana for the Italian house's Alta Moda celebrations in Sicily. Speaking to Vogue at the July event, Lopez explained how transformative fashion can be for her, particularly when she wears the Italian label.
