Heidi Klum is preparing for one of the most important parts of her year: Halloween. Over the past years, Klum has become a Halloween icon, hosting annual parties that showcase elaborate costumes. Whether they're playful or terrifying, all of the costumes share a common thread: meticulous attention to detail.
© GettyKlum has just teased her costume for this year's Halloween, revealing that she's hard at work on its development. “It goes very well with red wine,” she told PEOPLE. “It’s very, very bloody.”
She shared the news just after announcing a partnership with a wine brand. “A great glass of wine is always fun… and most of the time you think of something gory when you have a blood transfusion bag,” Klum continued.
“That’s what Halloween is all about. We go gory, and we go there.”

Over the years, Klum has consistently delivered stunning and strange costumes, from a life-size E.T. to a stunning peacock. Last year, she was Medusa, the mythological green monster with snakes for hair that was capable of freezing men with a glance.
Klum's costume was gorgeous and impressive, with her looking like a long rattlesnake, wearing fake fangs, robotic snakes on the top of her head, and a bow and arrow as a finishing touch. The look took six months to develop and was made by a group of 15 people.
"Everything is hand-painted," Klum told E! News at her Halloween party last year. "About 15 people have been working on this, and I think they did a fantastic job."
"I've been thinking about Medusa for quite some time because I've seen over the years obviously many, many Medusas, and I thought, 'You know, one day I'm going to try my own.' I really wanted to have snakes that were moving, a super-ugly, super-scary face, really ugly teeth, and to be like a really long rattlesnake."

"This year wasn't that difficult, but sometimes it is," he said. "Last year we did E.T., for example, it was difficult. Like, OK, are we going to be both E.T. or one female version? I always have to come up with something that matches."
"There's not much I could do other than being the man who got into stone. So that's me and I think they did an amazing job."
"You still look like you," Klum noted.
