Brad Pitt has finally shared a glimpse inside Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded wedding, and one detail from the night sounds surprisingly relatable. The 62-year-old actor revealed that he briefly lost track of girlfriend Ines de Ramon while the couple was partying at Swift and Kelce’s massive wedding reception at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Pitt discussed the July 3 celebration while speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the Sept. 16 premiere of his new movie, Heart of the Beast, in Franklin, Tennessee. When the interviewer brought up the wedding, Pitt immediately had a memorable description for the event. “You mean the wedding of the century?” Pitt joked.
And judging by his account of the celebration, the nickname was not simply about the famous guest list.
Brad Pitt Says Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Was ‘Amazing’
Pitt attended the wedding with de Ramon, 33, and told Entertainment Tonight that the celebration turned into a marathon night out. “Let me tell you, that was such an amazing night,” Pitt said. He estimated that he and de Ramon were there for “10 hours, maybe 12.”
The Oscar winner also praised the amount of thought that apparently went into Swift and Kelce’s big day, describing the wedding as “so thoughtful” and “well-planned,” as well as “really moving” and “great fun.”
But there was one minor complication. “It was big,” Pitt said. Very big, apparently.
Brad Pitt Lost Ines de Ramon on the Dance Floor
When the conversation turned to reports that Pitt had briefly lost de Ramon during the celebration, he confirmed that it happened. “At one point, I lost her in the melee, on the dance floor,” Pitt told Entertainment Tonight. Fortunately, this was not a dramatic search through Madison Square Garden.
Asked how long it took him to find his girlfriend again, Pitt replied, “Not long! Not long.” He explained that other guests helped point him in the right direction, joking that there was always someone indicating, “She went that way.”
Considering the scale of the event, losing your date for a few minutes might have been easier than keeping track of them.
The wedding reportedly included around 1,000 guests, bringing together stars from Hollywood, music and professional football.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Had a No-Phone Wedding
One factor that made Pitt's temporary search more interesting was Swift and Kelce's decision to ask guests to put away their phones.
Kelce has since explained that the policy was intended to help guests relax and remain present instead of worrying about being photographed or recorded. Speaking about the decision on his New Heights podcast, he said the absence of phones allowed people to interact without feeling as though they needed to be “on guard.”
The result was a wedding where even some of the world's most recognizable celebrities could apparently spend hours dancing, socializing and enjoying the party without documenting every moment.
That privacy also helps explain why firsthand stories from guests have become some of the most revealing details about the celebration.
Brad Pitt Became Part of the Wedding Conversation
Pitt, based on Jason Kelce's recollection, the actor became something of a recurring topic among guests afterward. During a recent discussion with Pat McAfee and Scott Van Pelt, Van Pelt jokingly referred to Pitt as his “new best friend.”
McAfee responded that Pitt seemed to be “all of our best friends.”
Jason Kelce, who served as his brother Travis' best man, added that seemingly “everybody from the wedding” had some version of a Brad Pitt encounter to talk about afterward.
Jason also described the guest list as a mix of people from the football world, entertainment, Nashville's music community and the Kelce family's longtime friends from Cleveland Heights. “The melting pot of individuals was insane,” he said.
Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon Made Their Relationship Instagram Official
The wedding also marked a notable moment in Pitt and de Ramon's relationship.
The pair, who were first linked in 2022, essentially became Instagram official following Swift and Kelce's wedding when de Ramon reshared photos of herself and Pitt dressed for the celebration.
For the event, Pitt wore a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie and sunglasses, while de Ramon chose a semi-sheer black lace gown. She shared one of their photos to Instagram Stories accompanied by a red heart and Swift's “Lover,” then shared another with “Delicate.”
The couple has generally kept their relationship relatively private, although they have become more visible together at major public events.
Their wedding appearance came just weeks after they were photographed showing affection at the French Open in June.
De Ramon was also beside Pitt when he told the story about losing her at the wedding. She joined him at the Heart of the Beast premiere on Sept. 16, where Pitt wore a camouflage-patterned suit and matching shirt while de Ramon stepped out in a tiered peach dress with lace detailing.
Inside Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Madison Square Garden Wedding
Swift and Kelce married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, transforming one of New York City's most recognizable entertainment venues into the setting for their wedding.
The guest list brought together major names from music, movies and sports. Attendees including Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Chastain, Hugh Grant and his wife Anna Elisabet, along with Pitt and de Ramon.
Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, according to accounts subsequently shared by Travis and Jason Kelce.
Travis has described the wedding as a “magical” night and said one of his few regrets was how quickly the celebration seemed to pass.
Pitt's account certainly supports the idea that the party went on for hours. Twelve hours, a giant dance floor, roughly 1,000 guests and no easy option to send a quick “Where are you?” text.
