Harry Styles appears to have had a little fun with his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift’s recent wedding to Travis Kelce.
During his Saturday night performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the 32-year-old singer made a playful reference to the venue’s connection to the newlyweds.
While wrapping up his show as part of his residency at the iconic arena, Styles pointed out that Madison Square Garden is the home of the New York Knicks.
“And they also do weddings,” he added with a cheeky grin, according to fan-captured footage from the concert.
The comment seemingly marked Styles’ first public acknowledgment of Swift’s marriage to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
He Reportedly Got An Invite
Styles’ joke is especially interesting considering reports that he was actually invited to Swift and Kelce’s July 3 wedding.
The singer reportedly couldn't make it because he was scheduled to perform in London that same night as part of his tour.
His fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, did attend the star-studded celebration, however. Kravitz and Swift have been friends for years.
Styles and Swift famously dated for several months between late 2012 and early 2013. Although their relationship was short-lived, it became one of Swift’s most talked-about romances.
More than a decade later, it seems there’s no bad blood between the former couple. In fact, Swift apparently felt comfortable enough to invite her ex to one of the biggest days of her life.
Celebs Keep Spilling Wedding Details
Styles wasn't the only famous face to offer a glimpse into Swift and Kelce’s wedding festivities.
With roughly 1,000 guests reportedly attending the lavish celebration at Madison Square Garden, several attendees have since shared stories about the big day.
Actor Adam Scott recently opened up about the wedding during an appearance on Today. The Parks and Recreation star attended alongside his wife, Naomi Scott.
Despite the massive guest list and over-the-top setting, Scott said the wedding itself felt surprisingly intimate.
“You know what, I think the thing we walked away with, the impression we had more than anything, was that it was a real wedding,” he said.
“You had the sense that these are just people who love each other,” he added.
Adam Scott Says Everyone Was Emotional
Scott explained that, despite the enormous scale of the celebration, the ceremony still felt like two people simply coming together to get married.
“It was kind of on a grand scale – there were more people than were at my wedding – but at its core, it just felt like a regular wedding with two people coming together,” he said.
And apparently, there weren't many dry eyes in the room.
“Everyone teared up. It was a really lovely, lovely event,” Scott recalled.
Travis Kelce Calls It The Best Night Of His Life
Kelce has also offered a few details about his first days as a married man.
Shortly after the wedding, the NFL star described the celebration as “crazy” and called the ceremony the “best night of [his] life.”
Speaking at Kansas City Chiefs training camp ahead of the team's preseason matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, Kelce admitted that the celebration was a whirlwind.
“That’s about all I really got from that night,” he joked. “It was a crazy night. It was full of a lot of celebration. But it’s football, baby.”
Meanwhile, friends of the couple have reportedly said Swift is loving married life and enjoying waking up alongside her new husband in their home.
So while Harry Styles may not have made it to the wedding, his Madison Square Garden quip suggests he can at least laugh about missing the big day.
