The 2026 Emmys may have been television's biggest night, but there was some good ol speculated drama. A red carpet video clip of Law Roach, Zendaya, and Odessa A’Zion went viral when it looked like Marty Supreme star wanted to be anywhere but near the designer.
© GettyThe trio was posing together outside the Peacock Theater on Monday, Sept. 14, when cameras caught what appeared to be a strange interaction between A’Zion and Roach.

© GettyOf course, the internet immediately saw red flags. But according to Roach, there is no behind-the-scenes drama.
The stylist addressed the viral moment in a statement to The Shade Room, explaining that the interaction was being read very differently online than it happened in real life. “We were laughin," he said.
According to Roach, they're even breaking bread this week. "I’m having lunch with her this week. There was no shade there," he continued.
© GettyThe awkward clip became particularly easy to dissect because Roach has developed a reputation for being outspoken, both about fashion and the people working in it.
He's currently a judge on Project Runway, where his blunt critiques have generated their own share of conversation. At the Emmys, he defended his approach after criticism that he is too harsh on the designers.
“The real world is harsh. Corporate America is harsh,” he told Refinery29. “Anything that we do and we put ourselves in a place to be judged is harsh. Social media is harsh.
Zendaya's viral look
That wasn't the only viral moment from the group. Zendaya, who went into the night nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Euphoria), quickly went viral for her incredible look.
