Beyoncé made sure her 45th birthday celebrations ended on an appropriately glamorous note.
The superstar stepped out in London for a belated birthday bash at Harry’s Bar in Mayfair, turning the sidewalk into her own runway in a shimmering Roberto Cavalli ensemble.
Joined by husband Jay-Z, who arrived separately just minutes apart, Beyoncé looked radiant and in high spirits as she headed inside the private members’ club.
For the occasion, the birthday girl embraced rich autumnal shades in a brown Roberto Cavalli look featuring a sheer silk-blend top and coordinating micro mini skirt.
Pink and gold metallic floral embellishments brought plenty of sparkle to the ensemble, while delicate beaded fringe along the hem moved with every step.
The dramatic detailing gave the look a distinctly bohemian-glamorous feel, while its ultra-short silhouette kept it playful for a night of celebrating.
Beyoncé doubled down on the metallic accents with a sculptural gold Jimmy Choo Cloud clutch and gold jewelry. Cranberry-colored Jimmy Choo Beth cat-eye sunglasses added an unexpected retro touch, while pointed burgundy pumps and a delicate anklet completed the look.
A beauty look with a nostalgic connection:
Her outfit wasn't the only detail turning heads. Beyoncé wore her hair in voluminous, waist-length curls pulled into a high half-up ponytail, revealing a darker caramel base woven with honey-blonde highlights.
The color was a subtle throwback to the hair she wore around the release of B’Day in 2006, giving the birthday beauty moment an especially fitting dose of nostalgia as the album celebrates its 20th anniversary. Hairstylist Rita Hazan described the updated shade as a modern interpretation of Beyoncé's look from two decades ago.
Soft pink eye makeup, glowing skin and a glossy nude-pink lip complemented the warm tones of her hair and outfit. Even behind her embellished sunglasses, the singer's megawatt smile made it clear she was enjoying the celebrations.
Jay-Z's romantic birthday surprise:
The night out followed an already memorable birthday weekend for Beyoncé.
On September 4, her actual 45th birthday, she watched Jay-Z perform the first of his two sold-out shows at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. During the concert, the rapper turned the spotlight on his wife, who was watching from a VIP suite, and led the stadium in singing "Happy Birthday" to her before fireworks erupted around the venue.
Jay-Z's two London performances on September 4 and 5 were part of his JAŸ-Z 30 celebrations, marking three decades since the release of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt.
For the couple's later celebration in Mayfair, Jay-Z kept things considerably more understated than his wife, stepping out in a coordinating khaki-gray jacket and trousers, a New York Yankees cap and dark sunglasses.
He was even photographed carrying a gold bottle of his Ace of Spades champagne, an accessory perfectly suited to the celebratory occasion. But it was Beyoncé who commanded attention on her big night, combining Roberto Cavalli's maximalist glamour with a beauty look that subtly revisited one of the most recognizable eras of her career. Twenty years after B’Day, Queen Bey found the perfect way to celebrate another one.
