Paralyzed by Hope: The Maria Bamford Story (Netflix)
Jude Apatow's newest documentary finds him collaborating with filmmaker Neil Berkeley, with the two finding a subject in Maria Bamford, the comedian who broke ground with her radical approach to honesty in her comedy. The documentary explores Maria's youth and life, featuring clips from the best moments of her career.
The Invite (HBO Max)
Olivia Wilde's new film finds her directing herself for the first time. The project co-stars Seth Rogen, Penelope Cruz, and Edward Norton as two couples on a dinner party, where boundaries are pushed and hard truths are faced.
A Course Called Ireland (Paramount+)
Bill Murray is back! The catch is that it's on a documentary. Still, it's delightful, finding Murray traveling through Ireland with author Tom Coyne as the two play golf and get to know locals, with various celebrities making appearances.
Lupin (Netflix)
One of Netflix's biggest international TV shows is back with its fourth season, following thief Assane Diop as he's released from prison, and is determined to leave his life of crime behind.
The Bride! (Prime Video)
"The Bride!" is available to stream on Prime Video. Maggie Gyllenhaal's highly anticipated sophomore film is an expansion on the story of Frankenstein's Bride, a character that has existed for decades yet has had very little exploration beyond having a wonderful Gothic look.
One Spoon of Chocolate (Hulu)
Lastly, "One Spoon of Chocolate" is streaming on Hulu. The film follows Unique, an ex-con who moves to a small town to try to establish a normal life, reconnecting with his family. This doesn't happen. Instead, he uncovers a racist conspiracy and is forced to get involved.
