Rosario Dawson had a Disney-packed weekend. After taking the stage at D23 to talk about Ahsoka, she enjoyed a date day at Disneyland in Anaheim with her boyfriend, Adama Sanneh.

© GettyDawson was already in the area from the day before when she helped unveil the first look at Ahsoka Season 2 at DW23.
The actress, who plays the former Jedi, told fans that the new season is “massive,” with higher stakes, bigger battles, and the looming threat of Grand Admiral Thrawn
She also brought along some familiar faces, including Hayden Christensen, who returns as Anakin Skywalker, and the stunning Eman Esfandi, who reprises his role as Ezra Bridger.

In an interview with The Movie Report, Dawson shared her favorite part about the job, saying, "One of my favorite things about working on Star Wars is all the incredible talent on screen that you get to see, the droids, and just like all the incredible creatures."
That includes a fan-made Loth-cat that has apparently become Dawson's frequent travel companion. “She has now been with me from Raleigh Con through Birmingham, Alabama, Atlanta, New York, LA, and then on the way back to London, where we actually filmed the second season."
© GettyDawson explained. “So, it’s going to be very cool. But in the meantime, she’s been my service animal on the planes, and people have been freaking out, and it’s been great.”
A new chapter for Ahsoka
Beyond the creatures and bigger action, Dawson is especially excited about where Ahsoka herself is headed.
The actress reflected on how much her character has endured. “She was just in a really heavy period,” Dawson said, explaining that Season 2 will allow viewers to see a different side of the character.
“By the time she turns into Ahsoka the White, we get to see a little more lightness, a little bit more of a transition,” Dawson explained. “And that’s the thing I think I’m most excited about is that we get to explore that a little bit more.”
“There’s a bit of a lightness where she can now better approach where she is now and where she’s going because she’s not so much looking back as she had been.”

The couple first sparked romance rumors in 2024 after a trip to Italy. They later made several public appearances together, including at the Torino Film Festival.
Sanneh works in the nonprofit and education space and is the co-founder and CEO of the Moleskine Foundation, an organization focused on education, creativity, and social change.
