Natalie Portman is giving fans a heartfelt look at one of the most personal moments of her life. The Oscar-winning actress shared her first baby bump photos since announcing she is expecting her third child, posting a tender message as she counts down to meeting her baby.

The 45-year-old actress took to Instagram to post an intimate image of herself standing in front of a window overlooking the Paris skyline, where she now lives. Wearing her shirt unbuttoned, she gently cradled her growing baby bump.

Crediting photographer Shelby Duncan, Portman captioned the image, “Counting the days until we meet you.”

The Black Swan star’s Hollywood friends quickly filled the comments with messages of support. Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin wrote, “Gee whiz.” Jennifer Garner and Julianne Moore each responded with heart emojis.

‘It’s such a privilege and a miracle’

The post marks the first time Portman has shared images of her pregnancy on social media since revealing in April that she and her boyfriend, French music producer Tanguy Destable, are expecting a child together.

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar at the time, the Oscar winner said, “Tanguy and I are very excited. I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.” Portman, whose father is a fertility doctor, also reflected on becoming pregnant in her 40s. “I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant,” she said.

Adding, “I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful of that as well. It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing. And so I know how lucky I am. I’m very aware, and I’m very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude.”

‘I cherish every moment’

Portman, who also shares son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9, with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied, said she has “more energy than I thought I might” and is embracing every stage of this pregnancy.

The Star Wars actress added, “There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp. And there’s a calmness and a sense of knowing yourself, who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me, that makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing it’s probably the last time, I cherish every moment.”
