Jack Antonoff reportedly addressed Margaret Qualley's noticeable absence from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's star-studded wedding by telling guests that the couple had "had a tiff" before the celebration.
According to the Daily Mail, the Bleachers frontman attended the July 3 wedding in New York City alongside his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff, rather than his wife.
Eyewitnesses claimed Antonoff told people at the event that he and Qualley had "had a tiff," an explanation that initially led some guests to believe the actress had simply skipped the festivities after a minor disagreement.
However, days later, reports emerged that the couple had quietly separated after nearly three years of marriage, suggesting the situation was far more serious than a brief argument.
An insider told the Daily Mail that Antonoff "didn't want to put up a facade at Taylor's wedding when they're having trouble," adding that the pair had struggled to stay connected while balancing demanding careers.
"It's been weird with her working and him doing his own thing the last several months," the source said. "They definitely have lost the spark they once had and it doesn't look like they'll fix it. Which is crazy, because they were bonkers for each other at one point and people thought they had something unique."
Sources have also pointed to communication issues as a growing challenge in the relationship. Antonoff has spent much of the year touring with Bleachers, while Qualley has been busy with her acting career. Another insider claimed the actress felt the producer often prioritized his music career over their relationship, creating increasing tension between them.
The latest claims come after People confirmed that the pair had separated, with sources describing their marriage as "rocky" and saying they were "figuring things out."
Before the split became public, fans had already begun noticing several subtle clues. Qualley quietly removed photos from the couple's 2023 New Jersey wedding from her Instagram account and changed her username from @isimostar, a reference to Bleachers' song "Isimo," to @sarahmargaretqualley23.
Fans also noticed that Antonoff quietly removed "Margaret," the Lana Del Rey song inspired by his relationship with Qualley, from the Bleachers' tour setlist in June, fueling further speculation that the couple had hit a rough patch.
Rumors that Qualley missed Swift's wedding because of filming also appeared to be unfounded. Reports indicated she had already wrapped production on 'King Snake' weeks before the event.
Qualley and Antonoff first sparked romance rumors in 2021 before getting engaged the following year. They tied the knot during an intimate but celebrity-filled ceremony in New Jersey in August 2023, attended by friends including Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Channing Tatum, Zoë Kravitz and Cara Delevingne.
Neither Qualley nor Antonoff has publicly addressed the reported separation, and both continue to keep details of their relationship private.
