Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff have officially separated just weeks before their third wedding anniversary, bringing an end to one of Hollywood's most admired creative partnerships.
Multiple sources confirmed to People that the actress, 31, and the musician and producer, 42, have decided to separate after their marriage became "rocky."
Another insider told the outlet that the pair are currently "figuring things out." Neither Qualley nor Antonoff has publicly commented on the reports, and representatives for both have not issued additional statements regarding the separation.
Long before the news was confirmed, fans had already begun speculating that something had changed.
One of the biggest clues came when Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's star-studded New York wedding without Qualley, instead arriving alongside his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff.
Online followers also noticed several changes to Qualley's Instagram account. The actress quietly removed photos from the couple's August 2023 wedding, leaving only one image featuring Antonoff from last February.
Although the two still follow each other on the platform, fans also pointed out that Qualley changed her Instagram username earlier this year from @isimostar—a reference to "Isimo," a song by Antonoff's band, Bleachers—to @sarahmargaretqualley23.
The couple first sparked romance rumors in the summer of 2021 after they were photographed together in New York.
They made their relationship public the following year, announced their engagement in 2022 and exchanged vows during an intimate but celebrity-filled wedding in New Jersey in August 2023. Guests included Swift, Lana Del Rey, Channing Tatum, Zoë Kravitz and Cara Delevingne.
Their relationship also inspired one of Antonoff's most famous collaborators. Del Rey's 2023 song "Margaret," which features Bleachers, was written about the couple's romance and celebrated their love story.
The singer later revealed that witnessing Antonoff's relationship with Qualley influenced her own outlook on marriage. Earlier this year, Antonoff spoke candidly about the beginning of their romance during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, revealing that he knew almost immediately she was the one.
"I saw her and it was like a f---ing Hallmark movie that doesn’t seem believable," he said. "When I met her, I started imagining things that I’d never even imagined, like marriage."
Qualley had shared similarly heartfelt sentiments before they married. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar in 2023, she described Antonoff as "my person."
"I am so happy that I found my person. And it’s real. It’s amazing. It’s the best feeling in the world," she said at the time. "I’m so excited and so at ease all at once."
The pair are currently focused on their respective careers. Antonoff is continuing his Bleachers Forever tour, while Qualley is in pre-production on the upcoming horror film 'Possession.'
