As it becomes increasingly obvious that there is a rift between Brad Pitt and several of his children, there is one child who reportedly still has a relationship with his side of the family.

According to Page Six, while Pax Jolie-Pitt has a complicated relationship with his famous father, a source said he's still close with his dad’s side of the family and "continues to spend time with them."

The insider said that the 22-year-old "recently joined his family as they went out to dinner and celebrated his cousin Sydney’s engagement to Archimede Jerome.”

The family gathering reportedly included Brad’s sister, Julie Pitt Neal, along with several other relatives. So while Pax may be largely estranged from his father, he has not completely severed ties with the Pitt family as a whole.

A second Page Six source claimed that despite staying connected to his paternal relatives, the 22-year-old “doesn’t have much of a relationship with Brad.”

It's no secret how fractured the Jolie-Pitt family dynamic has become in recent years. Brad and Angelina Jolie’s children have, one by one, distanced themselves from the Pitt name altogether.

Over the last few years, as they turn 18, multiple siblings have made symbolic, and in some cases legal, moves to drop “Pitt” from their surnames.

Zahara Jolie was the first one to publicly embrace the name "Zahara Jolie," introducing herself without Pitt during her Spelman College sorority induction.

Then Shiloh Jolie made headlines in 2024 after successfully petitioning a Los Angeles court to legally remove Pitt from her last name shortly after turning 18.

And more recently, eldest son Maddox Jolie reportedly filed paperwork to legally drop the surname as well, after already using “Maddox Jolie” professionally.

He was credited under that name while working as an assistant director on Angelina’s film Couture, a noticeable shift from previous credits.

Even the younger siblings appear to be signaling distance. Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Knox Jolie used “Knox Jolie” on his high school diploma, while Vivienne Jolie previously appeared as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for The Outsiders, the Broadway production she worked on alongside her mother.

Since Angelina filed for divorce in 2016 following the now-infamous private plane incident, the children have overwhelmingly been seen by her side.

Public appearances with Brad have become nonexistent, while Angelina is regularly photographed attending premieres, charity events, and milestone family moments with her children.

Sources have previously claimed Brad has struggled with that distance and hoped for reconciliation, but for now, it seems like that isn't happening any time soon.

As the kids make their own decisions and continue to grow up, we will see what they choose to share with the public. For the most part, outside of their legal battles, Angelina has kept any family matters private, but this week she made headlines when she opened up about getting her "fighting spirit back"  after losing parts of herself.

"I kind of got taken down a little," she told Variety. The Salt star went on to credit her six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne, for their support. "They know me more than anybody, and they still like me, which says a lot," she quipped.
