Meghan Markle had a playful response ready after posting photos with a friend's adorable redheaded baby.

The Duchess of Sussex shared a pair of heartwarming snapshots on Instagram Stories on June 12 featuring herself spending time with close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen's young son, Jack Oliver. But it was Meghan's cheeky caption that quickly stole the spotlight.

Meghan Pokes Fun at Harry’s Famous Red Hair

In one photo, Meghan beamed while holding the smiling infant, who sported a head of red hair. In another, she lovingly cradled the baby and kissed him on the head.

"We know I love a redhead," Meghan wrote alongside the images, seemingly giving a nod to her husband, Prince Harry, whose ginger hair has long been one of his trademark features.

Anticipating the internet's reaction, Meghan added another humorous comment.

"And let me stop you before they start, no, it's not his baby," she joked.

The lighthearted remark was a clear reference to Harry and quickly earned a laugh from the baby's mother.

Kelly McKee Zajfen Reacts to Meghan's Joke

McKee Zajfen, one of Meghan's longtime friends, later reposted the images to her own Instagram Stories.

Responding to Meghan's caption, she wrote, "Hahahahahhahahahahah," showing her appreciation for the duchess's sense of humor.

McKee Zajfen shares 11-month-old Jack with her husband, Julian, and has frequently documented her family's journey on social media.

A Joyful Chapter Following Heartbreak

Jack's arrival marked a significant milestone for the family after years of profound loss.

Before welcoming their son, McKee Zajfen announced her pregnancy in November 2025. Around the same time, she honored her daughter Lily's 13th birthday with an emotional tribute that also remembered Lily's twin brother, George.

George died at age 9 after complications related to COVID-19 and viral meningitis, a loss that deeply impacted the family. In a touching tribute, Jack was given the same middle name as his late brother.

Opening Up About Parenting After Loss

Earlier this year, McKee Zajfen reflected on what it has been like raising a newborn while continuing to navigate grief.

In a heartfelt Instagram post shared on May 15, she described how becoming a mother again has changed her perspective on life.

"I walk this path so differently now. More aware of time. More patient. More present. More aware of how fragile and precious this life really is and how lucky we are to be given each day," she wrote.

She went on to explain how joy and sorrow continue to exist side by side in her daily life.

"I hold joy and grief in the same breath every single day. They coexist now, woven into each day, each moment, each milestone. They always will," she continued. "But you've reminded me that even after unimaginable loss, life still finds ways to soften you, stretch you, and love you back."

Meghan's Close Circle of Friends

Meghan has maintained a close friendship with McKee Zajfen for years. The pair have often supported one another publicly, with McKee Zajfen standing by Meghan through various personal and professional milestones.

The latest photos offered a glimpse into that friendship while also showcasing Meghan's playful side, proving that even a sweet baby picture can become the perfect opportunity for a joke about Prince Harry's famous red hair.
