Jessica Simpson never really left, but she's been on her comeback arc. The 45-year-old singer and actress has been back on stage with a cameraman filming her performances, and there have been clues the last couple of weeks about what could be in store.

This week, celebrity hairdresser Ken Paves shared a post working on her famous, blonde, long locks, confirming he was part of the "very special project."  Simpson was glowing and looked incredible, and several details got fans' attention. "Working on a very special project with my girl @jessicasimpson - I am so proud of you! “Remember who you are!”' He wrote in the caption.

Eagle-eyed fans locked in on what appeared to be a bruised knee. "Nice, but what happened to your knee?" someone wrote. "Your knee and leg???" added another.

But for those clumsy folks who are always walking into tables or falling on side quests, a bruised knee sometimes comes with an adventurous life.

It was a collaboration post with Simpson, her makeup artist, Lunn Simpson, and Behind The Chair.

Aside from the bruised knee, the comments were filled with fans happy to see she was still working with Paves after two decades. They were also praising her for how she appears to be aging backwards. "She just keeps getting prettier!" "This Jes? This is the Jes we knew and fell in love with at the very beginning; we have continued to love throughout the years, and have now come full circle again. Fabulous," another added.

As for what Simpson can be working on, DailyMail recently reported that on May 28th, during her concert at the Graton Resort and Casino in Rohnert Park, Northern California, she said she was working on a new project and that a cameraman would be filming her performance.

Someone in the crowd told the outlet she "seemed thrilled" and speculated that it must be a concert special or maybe for a new reality TV show.

Simpson shared a reel a week ago, writing in the caption, "Meeting every one of y’all is the highlight of being on the road." "I finally let the cameras back in for a special project, they’ll be filming the next 2 shows! Come be part of my next chapter!"

Simpson will be on the road in June before crossing the border and bringing the magic to Mexico City fans on October 1st.

Her new chapter comes after she opened up about not feeling good enough when she was younger. "My whole music career, you know, I had a job, and it was to be a pop star, and I tried, but I will say when you're younger, you just never feel good enough, and it's okay to not feel good enough," she said during a concert in Connecticut, per Daily Mail.

She's been on a bit of a renaissance following her divorce from Eric Johson in January 2025. The former couple are the parents of daughter Maxwell "Maxi" Drew, 13, son Ace Knute, 12, and daughter Birdie Mae, 6.

Since then, it's believed that she has been dating a musician named Thomas Eisenhood. He's a super-talented saxophone player and often plays with various bands. TMZ broke the news in April that they had been romantically involved for around 3 months.

They met through mutual friends in the music industry, and are super lowkey. He only has 870 followers on Instagram, and when news broke that he was dating the singer, he made his profile private.
