Vanessa Trump made headlines last week after announcing her breast cancer diagnosis. Days later, she appeared in good spirits while spending quality time with her daughter, Kai Trump, during her first public sighting since revealing her health condition.

The 48-year-old socialite was photographed shopping alongside the 19-year-old at a local mall in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Sunday afternoon. The mother-daughter duo smiled as they walked through the shopping center, with Vanessa at one point linking arms with Kai.

Family members including Kai and Ivanka Trump publicly shared support as Vanessa focuses on recovery surrounded by her children and loved ones.

Vanessa kept her look casual in a blue button-up shirt paired with jeans, while Kai wore a white tank top layered with a beige cardigan and denim.

The outing comes just days after Vanessa publicly shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently undergoing treatment planning with her doctors.

In an emotional Instagram post, Vanessa addressed her health battle for the first time. “While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” she wrote. She continued, “I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me. Thank you for your kindness and support it truly means more than I can express.”

Vanessa also requested privacy as she focuses on her recovery and time with loved ones. Kai quickly showed support for her mother following the announcement. The teenager shared a heartfelt photo of the pair on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Strongest person I know. Love you.”

Vanessa shares Kai with her ex-husband, Donald Trump Jr., with whom she was married from 2005 to 2018. The former couple also shares four sons: Donald John Trump III, Tristan Milos Trump, Spencer Frederick Trump, and Chloe Sophia Trump.
