Eiza González is giving fans a hilarious peek inside her relationship with tennis star Grigor Dimitrov, and according to the Mexican actress, the athlete’s obsession with cleanliness is next level.
During a recent appearance on the “In Your Dreams” podcast with Owen Thiele, the star opened up about Dimitrov’s meticulous habits, joking that he treats everyday chores as if he were a luxury hotel manager. According to González, the Bulgarian tennis pro is such a perfectionist that he even steams his socks and underwear. "He steams every piece of his clothing, like socks, underwear. I'm like, 'G, what's going on here?' He's like, 'I like everything [clean],' " she told Thiele.
The actress, who stars in “I Love Boosters,” laughed while describing how organized her boyfriend is behind closed doors. She compared Dimitrov to organizing icon Marie Kondo, saying she often catches him sitting on the floor, carefully folding clothes. "And then he's like Marie Kondo. I'll find him, and he's just sitting on the floor [folding clothes]."
González admitted she’s the complete opposite. The actress joked that Dimitrov practically panics whenever he sees the inside of her travel bag because of how messy it is compared to his perfectly folded belongings. "He has full heart attacks when he sees me, because you should see my bag," González joked. "G's bag is, I've never seen such level of technique of folding. And so I always like to take a photo of his stuff versus mine, and I have a full folder of it."
Despite their totally different approaches to organization, González said their personalities complement each other surprisingly well. The actress described Dimitrov as “such a Taurus,” while calling herself “such an Aquarius,” adding that somehow the relationship just works.
The couple first sparked dating rumors in April 2025 after they were photographed holding hands in Madrid. Soon after, they confirmed their romance publicly on Instagram when González shared a heartfelt birthday tribute to the tennis player, calling him her “absolutely favorite human.”
Since going public, González has been increasingly open about how supportive Dimitrov is in her life and career. At the New York City premiere of her movie “Fountain of Youth,” the actress told reporters that the athlete is incredibly sweet and always cheers her on.
The actress continued sharing playful details about their relationship during the Los Angeles premiere of “I Love Boosters,” where she laughed about becoming a “WAG,” which means the wives and girlfriends of athletes.
Although Dimitrov apparently teases her about the label, González said she’s proud to support him and celebrate his success. "He makes fun of me. I'm like, 'Don't call me a WAG,' but I guess I am," González said. "I'm so happy to share his success, and I'm there for him no matter what. I'm so proud of him."
"He's such a hardworking man and ultimately what I think is the best about him is his spirit," Eiza continued. "He's such a good human being. So I just am so grateful for him and I will be there no matter what. If I have had two minutes of sleep, it doesn't matter. I'll be there for him."
