Amid the Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson cheating scandal, there has been one woman in the middle, Lexie Brown. While the internet is convinced that the basketball player is the reason for the split, she's been speaking up since the beginning, trying to make it very clear she has nothing to do with the drama. But according to her, it hasn't stopped her from getting death threats.
© GettyBrown turned off her comments and shared a statement once the rumors started, but it didn't stop the speculation. So she spoke to Fox News, explaining that she knows Thompson because they both play professional basketball, and she would have considered him a friend.
The Seattle Storm player said she doesn't know Meg "at all" but expressed her disappointment that nobody is clearing her name. "I'm still the only person who has denied this entire situation of my involvement and claimed that this is 100% false. And the fact that I'm still the only one that is defending my name, I just, I have no idea how to process that," she said. "And that's the last thing that I'm like struggling to process is that there's this massive outcry for protecting Black women and nobody has mentioned Lexi Brown's name in any of those conversations," the 31-year-old continued.
© GettyBrown also pointed out that the people actually in the relationship are the ones who know what really happened and could’ve easily shut down the rumors. “I wouldn’t have minded if either one of them came out and said it because at the end of the day, they're the ones that are in the relationship, they’re the ones that are dealing with this, and they're the ones who are communicating with each other.”
She went on to stress that clarity could have come from multiple places, not just the two of them. “They're the ones that are dealing with this… So one of them, if not both of them, knows that it was not me. It could come from one of their teams, it could come from somewhere. The truth is over there somewhere.”
© GettyInstead, she says she was left to deal with the fallout alone while the narrative continued to spread. “For them to just allow me to get dragged… for three, four days now, knowing 100% what was being said was false, that surely somebody would step in and say, no, this is a lie… but don’t point them at Lexie.”
And according to Brown, it went far beyond just online chatter - it's getting scary. “I was getting threats on my life… my family started getting comments and threats from people. I’ve had to hire security to travel with me places, so it got to a point where I just was scared for myself.”
Meanwhile, the breakup that sparked all of this had already played out online. Over the weekend, Megan took to Instagram Stories to accuse him of cheating. “Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet,’” she wrote. She went on to say she supported him through “HORRIBLE mood swings” during the season, only for him to question whether he could be monogamous.

As for Thompson, he's been quiet about it all. He went live on Wednesday, listening to music while driving a boat.
